FAQ

How many sessions will I need?

It will depend on your desire to get better. Some people need only one session and some six or more.

What is hypnosis?

Hypnosis is a process that intentionally utilizes our natural ability to go into trance, to access the subconscious, and to create positive changes in our lives. We experience hypnosis or so-called trance any time we focus our awareness in such a way that our normal orientation to reality changes or shifts. This is something we are experiencing naturally. When we lay down to sleep at night, we shift our awareness inward. We are experiencing shifts throughout the day all the time while driving, listening to a friend's story or simply by watching TV.

What do you feel during hypnosis?

During hypnosis you go into a very relaxed state. It is almost as if you are asleep, but you are aware of your surroundings at the same time. "I am here, and I am not here", "I could get up, but I do not want to", "My body was sunk into the chair", is the best way my clients described the feeling. Entering trance allows your body to relax by disconnecting you from daily stresses and/or worries.

Can I get stuck in hypnosis?

Losing control is a common misconception. People are afraid to lose control over themselves during hypnosis and might be thinking the hypnotist can do awful things to them. In reality hypnosis doesn't work this way. It is a myth that you cannot be brought up out of hypnosis. Your subconscious mind is very protective of your body, mind and spirit. The subconscious never sleeps and listens at all times. You can open your eyes at any time you want to end the session for any reason if you desire to.

After all, I am focused on and interested in your well-being as I have found my purpose in life is to help people.

Another hypnotherapist was unable to hypnotize me. Do you think you can?

All hypnosis is self-hypnosis. It all depends on your permission to yourself to be hypnotized. During the interview you will get to know me better and I am only a facilitator to guide you on your road to recovery. How strongly do you want what you are looking for? As I believe every person is unique, I never apply the same hypnosis technique to everyone. Every client is a good subject for hypnosis!

Can my "skeletons come out of the closet" during hypnosis?

Very rarely, but what happens during the session, will stay that way forever. My client's confidentiality is very important to me. I do not ask questions that are not related to the problem.

Can I bring a spouse or a friend to the session?

Unless I work with a child who requires a parent to be present or a teenager who wants their guardian to be there, I do not allow friends or family members attend your hypnosis session. It is your personal time to express yourself truly and fully to walk out of the room with a best outcome.
